Before this match, the Do Luong Youth Team had 3 points after their win against the Cua Lo Youth Team, temporarily ranking second in Group A. The Ky Son Youth Team had no points after two losses against the Yen Thanh Youth Team and the Cua Lo Youth Team, temporarily ranking last in Group A.

After the opening whistle, the defending champions, Do Luong Youth, pressed their opponents. Following several attacks, in the 9th minute, the Do Luong Youth team scored the opening goal. The scorer was player number 6, Hoang Van Phu, with a powerful long-range shot from outside the penalty area.

Buoyed by their lead, the Do Luong Youth team launched a series of dangerous attacks, threatening the Ky Son Youth team's goal. In the 11th minute, the Do Luong Youth team scored their second goal after a successful offensive. The goalscorer was player number 10, Nguyen Van Huynh.

Almost immediately, the Do Luong Youth Team responded with two goals in the 30th and 31st minutes, scored by player number 9 Pham Dinh Tuan Vinh and player number 3 Dao Danh Tuan Hung.
