(Baonghean) -At around 5:00 p.m. on April 20, 2012, over 300 cranes appeared, circling in the blue sky and then suddenly swooping down, covering the large trees around the Ca Temple area in Trung Thuan hamlet, Nhan Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district (Nghe An). This amazing phenomenon attracted people from all over to come and watch.
According to the locals, the cranes even flew down to the lotus pond to bathe, hundreds of people stood watching but the cranes still naturally "performed" acrobatics. That night, there was heavy rain and strong winds but the cranes still perched on the trees. The commune police organized a guard to ensure the safety of this strange bird. They observed that this bird was gray-white in color, with a long beak. The village elders said that they had never seen this bird here before, but it had characteristics very similar to the white crane.

Mr. Phan Van Thanh - Chairman of Nhan Thanh Commune People's Committee added: Ca Temple is located in the middle of a rice field over 500 years ago, worshiping the village's tutelary god, Cao Son, Cao Cac. During the anti-French period, this was also a place for weapons production. The temple has been recognized as a National Historical Relic.
At dawn on April 21, because there were so many people coming to admire, the cranes fluttered and flew back to the South. This was a very interesting natural phenomenon, the local people hoped that the cranes would return to add beauty to the countryside and this sacred temple.
