Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai has just signed Decision No. 5/2023/QD-TTg dated February 24, 2023 promulgating the System of statistical indicators at provincial, district and commune levels.

The Prime Minister promulgates the System of statistical indicators at provincial, district and commune levels.

According to the Decision, the Provincial Statistical Indicator System includes the list and content of 154 statistical indicators.

The district-level statistical indicator system includes the list and content of 51 statistical indicators.

The system of commune-level statistical indicators includes the list and content of 26 statistical indicators.

The content of each provincial and district-level statistical indicator includes concepts, calculation methods; main groups; publication period; data sources and agencies responsible for collection and synthesis.

The content of each commune-level statistical indicator includes concepts, calculation methods; main groups; publication period and data sources.

Regarding implementation, the Decision assigns the Ministry of Planning and Investment (General Statistics Office) to preside over and coordinate with ministries, branches, and localities to develop and complete forms of information collection for statistical indicators at provincial, district, and commune levels;

Collect and synthesize statistical information for assigned provincial and district statistical indicators, ensuring the provision of accurate, complete and timely statistical data.

Building a unified, centralized statistical database on statistical information at provincial, district and commune levels; building a unified electronic reporting system from the central to local levels, from provincial departments, branches and sectors, district People's Committees to the Provincial and Municipal Statistics Offices and from the Provincial and Municipal Statistics Offices to the Ministry of Planning and Investment (General Statistics Office).

The Ministry of Planning and Investment guides the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities to conduct surveys to fully calculate statistical indicators at provincial and district levels to fully and promptly serve the management and operation needs of local levels.

Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies and relevant agencies, within the scope of their functions and tasks, must ensure consistency between the system of statistical indicators of ministries and branches and the system of statistical indicators at provincial and district levels.

People's Committees at all levels, based on the system of statistical indicators at provincial, district and communal levels, are responsible for collecting, synthesizing and compiling statistical indicators at provincial, district and communal levels to serve management and operation in the area.

Coordinate with the Ministry of Planning and Investment (General Statistics Office) to build an electronic reporting system from provincial departments, branches, and sectors, district People's Committees to the Provincial and Municipal Statistics Offices.
