Mr. Dinh Xuan Thao assessed that the Government's report provided satisfactory information to the National Assembly deputies. Thereby, the deputies grasped the situation to inform the people through subsequent voter meetings.
According to the delegates, through the delegates' opinions at the preparatory session, the National Assembly assessed the necessity of informing the delegates about the situation in the East Sea and including it in the official agenda of the 9th session. It is very good that the Government reports right before the National Assembly.
As the person who directly expressed his opinion on the need for the Government to report to the National Assembly on the situation in the East Sea, delegate Nguyen Anh Son - Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nam Dinh Province, member of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense and Security, said that at the discussion session on the implementation of the socio-economic development plan early next week, he will certainly express his opinion on the situation in the East Sea.
Mr. Son also said that according to the agenda, there was no separate discussion on the East Sea issue, but that did not mean that delegates did not have the opportunity to express their opinions and views on this issue. For example, when the 981 Oil Rig incident occurred, when discussing the socio-economic situation, many delegates expressed their views on the East Sea situation.
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Rinh - Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, National Assembly delegate of Hai Duong province also shared that the Government's report mentioned China's construction and renovation in recent times.
China is still stubbornly carrying out illegal activities to turn them into floating islands, thereby fulfilling other claims./.
