Government holds regular online meeting in June
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 29, the regular online Government meeting for June 2015 was held, chaired by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.

The working contents of the meeting include: a report assessing the socio-economic situation in June and the first six months of the year; a report on the implementation of Resolutions No. 01, 19, 92 on government administration, improving the investment environment and promoting tourism development; the implementation of administrative reforms; inspection, handling of complaints and denunciations and anti-corruption.

Regarding the socio-economic situation, the macro economy is stable and continues to recover, as shown by a number of assessment indicators such as the consumer price index (CPI) at a stable level (up 0.35% compared to May, slightly up compared to December 2014 and the same period in 2014); the highest GDP growth rate in the past 5 years (the second quarter of 2015 reached 6.44%); the average core inflation index in the first six months of the year is within a good level (2.24%). Export turnover is estimated at 77.75 billion USD, import turnover is 81.5 billion USD, both increasing compared to the same period last year.
In terms of culture and society, the most notable achievement is the 3rd place overall at the 28th SEA Games, after Thailand and Singapore. The education, healthcare and social security situation remains stable, ready to respond to international and regional epidemics such as Ebola, Mers-CoV and natural disasters, hydrometeorological phenomena...
Continuing to implement Resolution 01 dated January 3, 2015 of the Government on the management and implementation of socio-economic development tasks, in the last six months of 2015, measures will be promoted to promote the development of some slow-growing or declining sectors such as agriculture and tourism. For example, it will consider and propose to simplify visa procedures for some foreign nationals.
Regarding the implementation of Resolution 19 dated March 12, 2015 of the Government on improving the business environment and enhancing national competitiveness, there have been notable results such as reviewing 6,475 business conditions corresponding to 267 business lines, and deciding to abolish 3,299 conditions starting from July 1, 2016.

Administrative reform, inspection, complaint and denunciation settlement, and anti-corruption work continued to be promoted in the second quarter of 2015. 1,598 administrative inspections and 30,642 specialized inspections and checks were carried out. The administrative reform index in July was reviewed, evaluated, and the people's satisfaction index with public agencies will be published in October 2015.

Leaders of ministries, sectors and localities such as the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Hanoi City, Ho Chi Minh City, Ninh Thuan Province, Tien Giang, Quang Tri, Quang Ngai Province reflected on the specific situation in implementing socio-economic development tasks in the first six months of the year. In particular, emphasizing weather conditions, climate and fluctuations in market prices are a major difficulty for some sectors such as agriculture, tourism, services, and energy.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung highly appreciated the above results and affirmed the need to continue promoting administrative reform, administrative inspection and specialized work to consolidate the political apparatus.
