The Government issued new regulations on upgrading standards for preschool, primary and secondary school teachers.
(Baonghean.vn) - The Government issued Decree No. 71/2020/ND-CP stipulating the roadmap for improving the training standards of preschool, primary and secondary school teachers.
The roadmap for implementing the standard training level upgrade will be implemented from July 1, 2020 to December 31, 2030, divided into 2 phases.
Specifically, for preschool teachers: Phase 1: From July 1, 2020 to December 31, 2025, ensure that at least 60% of preschool teachers who are being trained or have completed the training program are awarded a college degree in pedagogy; Phase 2: From January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2030, apply to the remaining teachers to ensure that 100% of preschool teachers who complete the training program are awarded a college degree in pedagogy.

For primary school teachers: Phase 1: From July 1, 2020 to December 31, 2025, ensure that at least 50% of primary school teachers who are being trained or have completed the training program are awarded a bachelor's degree; Phase 2: From January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2030, apply to the remaining teachers to ensure that 100% of primary school teachers who complete the training program are awarded a bachelor's degree.
For secondary school teachers: Phase 1: From July 1, 2020 to December 31, 2025, ensure that at least 60% of secondary school teachers who are being trained or have completed the training program are awarded a bachelor's degree; Phase 2: From January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2030, apply to the remaining teachers to ensure that 100% of secondary school teachers who complete the training program are awarded a bachelor's degree.
