New preferential policy for art students
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is drafting a Decision on preferential treatment for students of traditional and special arts majors in cultural and art schools.

In the draft, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposed a 70% reduction in tuition fees for students studying Tuong, Cheo, Cai Luong, Royal Court Music, Circus, Dance, Traditional Opera Musicians, Hue Traditional Musicians, Southern Amateur Music, Opera, Folk Performing Arts, Ca Tru, Bai Choi, and Traditional Instrument Performance.
According to the regulations in Decision 82/2005/QD-TTg currently being applied, students studying Tuong, Cheo, Cai Luong, and royal dance and singing receive a 70% reduction in tuition fees, and students studying circus and dance receive a 50% reduction in tuition fees.
Thus, in the draft, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposed expanding the beneficiaries and increasing the tuition reduction for students studying circus and dance from 50% to 70%.
In addition, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also proposed a compensation regime for students of arts majors with the following specific levels: The level of 40% of full incentive scholarship/month applies to students of the following majors: Tuong, Cheo, Cai Luong, Nha Nhac Royal Court, Circus, Vocal Music, Wind Music and Dance, Traditional Theatre Musicians, Hue Traditional Musicians, Southern Amateur Musicians, Theatre Actors, Folk Performing Arts, Ca Tru Art, and Bai Choi Art.
The 30% full scholarship/month applies to students majoring in cinematography and fine arts.
The 20% full scholarship/month applies to students majoring in string music, percussion music and other fields of cinema.
