The regulations for the 2015 National High School Graduation Examination have been officially announced.

On the evening of February 26th, the Ministry of Education and Training officially announced the regulations for the 2015 national high school graduation exam, with many changes compared to the previous draft.

The Ministry of Education and Training has decided to maintain the 10-point grading scale as in previous years, instead of switching to a 20-point scale as previously planned.

Specifically, the exam is graded on a 10-point scale, with scores taken to two decimal places (0.25), and no further rounding is allowed. For multiple-choice exams, the grading team uses a computer to score and convert each multiple-choice test to a 10-point scale (to two decimal places).

According to the Ministry's regulations, the 2015 high school graduation exam will have two types of examination clusters.

Examination clusters for candidates taking the high school graduation exam and university/college entrance exam: Organized for candidates from at least two provinces or centrally-governed cities (collectively referred to as provinces), chaired by a university in coordination with the provincial Department of Education and Training.

The examination cluster for candidates taking the high school graduation exam is organized at a school or group of high schools in the province, chaired by the Department of Education and Training in coordination with a university.

Each examination board has a unique code number, which is standardized nationwide. At each examination board, the list of all candidates is compiled in alphabetical order (a, b, c,...) to assign registration numbers and then by subject to determine examination room assignments.

Each candidate has a unique registration number. The candidate's registration number consists of a letter part which is the examination board code and a 6-digit number part that is assigned sequentially until all candidates in the examination board have been assigned a number, ensuring that no candidate in the examination board has the same registration number.

Each examination room can accommodate a maximum of 40 candidates; within the examination room, a minimum distance of 1.2 meters must be maintained between two adjacent candidates in a horizontal row. The last examination room for each subject may accommodate up to 45 candidates; the last examination room for the Foreign Language exam (at the same examination location) may accommodate candidates taking different foreign language exams, but their answer sheets must be collected separately for each subject.

The deadline for registration is April 30th.

The deadline for submitting application forms is before April 30th of each year. After the application deadline, if any errors or mistakes are discovered, candidates must promptly notify the Principal of the high school or the Head of the unit where they registered for the exam, or the Examination Board on the day of the exam registration to correct or supplement the information.

In special cases, additional certificates may be submitted to qualify for preferential treatment or bonus points, but these must be submitted before the exam date to be valid.
