(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of September 23, the Opening Ceremony of the 19th Asian Games - ASIAD took place at the Hangzhou Olympic Stadium under the theme "Towards Asia" with the aim of conveying the cultural colors of the countries participating in the games.
The entire opening ceremony lasted about 2 hours, with traditional rituals such as welcoming, parade, opening speech and lighting the torch. The most anticipated highlight was the artistic performance of the opening ceremony. Fans expected the host country China to create a high-class performance, pleasing the audience like they did at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
The opening ceremony of the 19th Asian Games began with the performance of the Chinese National Anthem. Attending the program were General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and guests representing national sports delegations.
Mr. Wang Hao - Governor of Zhejiang Province, Head of the Organizing Committee of ASIAD 19 gave a speech.
The 19th Asian Games Opening Ceremony began with the parade of participating national sports delegations. The first was the representative of the Afghanistan Sports Delegation. The sports delegations paraded on the road created by light technology. Ink paintings were projected on both sides of the path. The names of the sports delegations were written on large screens erected in front of the stands.
