For 16 years now, the Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth and Children's Football Tournament has become the most anticipated healthy and beneficial playground for teenagers and children every summer. And only by witnessing the matches can one fully understand the desire and burning passion of the young players, especially those from mountainous areas, remote areas. Because their daily playground is mainly the corner of the school yard, the lawn after hours of herding buffaloes and cutting grass every afternoon. And coming to the Youth and Children's Football Tournament - a playground suitable for their age, the children are free to show off their techniques, demonstrate their abilities and passion for the ball. Each match, although there are both smiles of victory and tears of disappointment, is truly a game of innocent, carefree childhood.

Winning or losing seems to be less important to the kids than wearing shorts and numbered shirts to play football like professional players. Therefore, every kid tries to perform well to be placed in the official team by the coaches. In May and June, the hot weather cannot stop the kicks and the fierce, exciting fights. Many young players are so engrossed that the referee does not even notice when they blow the whistle.

That is why children's football brings a lot of excitement to viewers and often attracts a large number of spectators who travel long distances to the stadium to cheer and encourage them. Even the referees, who are usually strict, are full of emotion when refereeing such children's matches - "the children's violations on the field, especially those of children, are very innocent, so when they blow a penalty, the referee usually reminds and guides them, and rarely has to use cards" -

Referee Nguyen Hoang Anh - one of the people who has been involved with the tournament since the early days shared. One of the things that makes the tournament attractive is that in addition to football-related prizes, with the help of sponsors, groups and individuals, the Organizing Committee also organizes fun activities on the sidelines of the field and has additional prizes for young players who are excellent students of the province, city, excellent students with an average grade of 8 or higher... That is also a source of encouragement and motivation for the children to strive to both study well and play football well.

In the early days of May, although busy with professional work, in order to make the 16th Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth Football Tournament, 2012 season a great success, the Organizing Committee is actively preparing for a new season.

As planned, the qualifying round of the Nghe An Newspaper Cup for youth and children football this year will be divided into 4 groups, starting from May 25-30. Group 1 includes the teams: Quy Hop (leader group), Que Phong, Quy Chau, Nghia Dan, Thai Hoa Town. Group 2 includes the districts of Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Anh Son, Thanh Chuong (leader group). Group 3 includes Dien Chau (leader group), Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh, Do Luong, Tan Ky. Group 4 includes Nam Dan, Hung Nguyen, Nghi Loc, Vinh City, Cua Lo Town (leader group).

The final round is scheduled to take place from June 12-18 in Vinh City. Currently, districts, cities and towns are also urgently preparing to select and gather young players for training and are anxiously waiting for the day the ball rolls. The organizing committee hopes to receive help, support, contributions and responses from businesses, organizations, individuals and localities for a healthy, useful and practical playground for teenagers and children during the summer, and the further goal is to find talent for the province's football.
