Prevent illegal immigration to Australia by boat

(Baonghean.vn)- On June 25, the Nghe An Border Guard Command coordinated with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to organize a community communication program on preventing illegal immigration to Australia by boat.

The communication session was held in Nghi Hai Ward, Cua Lo Town with the theme "If you board a boat without a visa, you will never set foot on Australian soil", aiming to introduce to people the reality of illegal immigration to Australia and the Australian government's regulations for illegal immigrants.

Provincial border guards distribute leaflets to propagate laws on illegal immigration.

Through media drama programs, short films and multiple choice question draws, it has helped raise awareness of safe migration and prevention of illegal migration by boat. At the same time, it has promoted and mobilized people to actively detect, denounce, and handle cases of illegal migration in the locality.

At the media session, Nghi Hai ward residents also had representatives of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs answer some questions related to labor export from Vietnam to other countries.
