Young husband robbed money to cure his wife's cancer

At around 10:00 a.m. on November 6, Ms. NTT (born in 1960), in Nhuan Trach village, Dong Tien commune, Dong Son district (Thanh Hoa) went to the commune People's Committee to receive a loan of 100 million VND from the Dong Son District Agricultural Bank.

After receiving the loan, Ms. T wrapped the money in a black plastic bag and left it in front of her bicycle basket. On the way home, at the Dong Tien industrial park in Rung Thong town, a young man wearing a sun protection shirt suddenly approached from behind and snatched the plastic bag containing the money from the bicycle basket and then escaped.

Immediately after receiving the news, Dong Son District Police, Thanh Hoa Province deployed forces to the scene to quickly investigate, verify and search for suspects in the area.

With a determined spirit of fighting and suppressing crime, at 6:00 p.m. on November 7, Dong Son District Police persuaded Pham Van Hau, the perpetrator of the robbery, to surrender and hand over the 100 million VND he had just robbed.

At the police station, Pham Van Hau confessed that because his wife had bone cancer and lacked money for treatment, when he went to the People's Committee of Dong Tien commune to receive a loan and saw that Ms. NTT had borrowed 100 million VND, Hau had the intention of robbing the money.

Currently, Dong Son District Police are continuing to investigate and expand the case and complete procedures to return the above amount of money to the victim./.
