(Baonghean) - The Nghe An Provincial Police Department has issued Plan No. 211 to implement measures to prevent and combat the smuggling, production, trading, storage, and illegal use of fireworks during the 2012 Lunar New Year. The plan identifies key routes, areas, and targets, assigns specific tasks and targets to each unit. The implementation period is divided into two phases: Phase 1 from October 5th to December 31st, 2011; Phase 2 from January 1st, 2012 to February 28th, 2012. Any unit that allows a high rate of fireworks use, especially on New Year's Eve of the Year of the Dragon 2012, will be held accountable to the provincial police leadership, and its unit will have its first-quarter 2012 emulation award deducted.
