Proactively prevent disease outbreaks in winter-spring season
The Ministry of Health has asked provinces and cities to have specific plans and measures to proactively prevent epidemics during the winter-spring season.

More worryingly, bird flu is now appearing in some localities. Winter-Spring weather also creates favorable conditions for respiratory and gastrointestinal diseases and food poisoning to arise.
To proactively prevent influenza and other epidemics during the Lunar New Year, the Ministry of Health recommends that provinces and cities have specific plans and implement appropriate measures to prevent the emergence and outbreak of epidemics during the winter-spring season, especially influenza A/H5N1 and influenza A/H5N6.
At the same time, localities need to direct the Department of Health to strengthen monitoring activities in the community and at border gates; early detection, thorough handling of outbreaks, preventing the disease from entering and spreading widely. In addition, localities need to fully prepare disinfectant chemicals, supplies, equipment and human resources... to be ready to support and deploy timely anti-epidemic activities.
In addition, the Ministry of Health also requested the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to coordinate in promptly informing the health sector about the avian influenza situation, in order to coordinate in monitoring and early detection of human cases of A/H5N6 influenza.
