(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 18, a working delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front led by Mr. Nguyen Huu Dung - Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front had a meeting with the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to grasp the damage situation and the work to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10.

According to the report of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, due to the impact of storm No. 10, from September 14 to 7:00 p.m. on September 15, Nghe An had strong winds of level 6 - 7, gusting to level 8 - 10, especially Hon Ngu gusting to level 11, causing heavy to very heavy rain with common rainfall from 76 to 216 mm.
Learning from the experience of storm No. 2, the Party Committee, government and the entire political system in the province have proactively propagated and resolutely directed and resolutely enforced the evacuation of households that did not evacuate from the danger zone.
Despite the proactive and active participation from the province to localities, forces and sectors in the work of preventing and responding to storm No. 10, there were still losses of people and property.
Specifically, in the province, 4 people died and 2 people were injured due to storm No. 10. The whole province had 725 houses and kiosks with their roofs blown off; 65 households were flooded. Agricultural damage included 2,348 hectares of corn and vegetables damaged; 380 hectares of rice broken and flooded; 271 hectares of aquaculture flooded; 524 trees broken. Some works such as 4 schools had their roofs blown off; 10 irrigation works had their dam roofs collapsed; 1,675 m of sea dykes collapsed; some traffic routes and bridges were damaged... Immediately after the storm, all levels, sectors, and forces from the province to the grassroots immediately began to work to overcome the situation, ensuring that people could return to normal life after the storm.

Appreciating the province's initiative in propaganda work and implementing measures to respond to storm No. 10, comrade Nguyen Huu Dung - Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front requested the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to proactively allocate from reserve funds to visit and encourage affected families, with priority given to disadvantaged families, single-parent families, poor households, policy families, and families with damaged houses.
At the same time, proactively coordinate with localities and organizations to inventory, grasp the damage situation and supervise the inventory work to ensure accuracy, thereby supporting the right subjects and purposes, avoiding spreading and leveling.
