According to the report of the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, the current flood situation in the northern provinces is very complicated. This is the heaviest rain in the past 40 years, in Hai Phong and Quang Ninh, the average rainfall measured is nearly 300 mm/day. Heavy rain has caused flooding in many areas, causing severe damage to Quang Ninh province. Currently, in the northern provinces, there is still a risk of flash floods and landslides due to heavy rains that have lasted for the past 4 days. Flood and storm prevention work is still being highly focused by localities. According to the forecast of the Central Hydrometeorological Center, in the coming days, there is a high possibility that there will be heavy rain in the mountainous areas of Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces. Therefore, localities in the North Central region need to be proactive in disaster prevention work.
