Chairman of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly: Nghe An implements the elderly policy well
(Baonghean.vn) - The Chairman of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly acknowledged the activities of the Nghe An Association of the Elderly, as well as the implementation of policies for the elderly in the province and hoped that Party committees and authorities at all levels would continue to pay attention and coordinate activities to serve the care and promote the role of the elderly better and better.
On the afternoon of September 5, a delegation of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly led by Ms. Pham Thi Hai Chuyen - President of the Association visited and worked with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

Chairwoman of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly Pham Thi Hai Chuyen discussed with the provincial leaders about the delegation's activities in Nghe An, including organizing a training conference for the elderly to participate in preventing and combating social evils in the area under the coordination program between the Ministry of Public Security and the Central Association of the Elderly; and visiting and giving gifts to 10 disadvantaged elderly members of the province.
In addition, the delegation also discussed a number of contents related to the activities and programs of the National Committee on the Elderly and the implementation of the Law on the Elderly.
Accordingly, the Chairman of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly acknowledged the activities of the Nghe An Association of the Elderly, as well as the implementation of policies for the elderly in the province and hoped that Party committees and authorities at all levels would continue to pay attention and coordinate activities to serve the care and promote the role of the elderly better and better.

Talking to the delegation, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council highly appreciated the contributions of the elderly to the development of the province.
Nghe An Association of the Elderly has a high membership rate; has many effective economic development models, especially promoting the role of the elderly in participating in building the grassroots political system, building new rural areas and civilized urban areas.
Nghe An will continue to create conditions for the Provincial Association of the Elderly to operate effectively in accordance with the motto of living happily, healthily, and usefully and the motto of promoting the role of the elderly as good examples.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also informed the delegation of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly of some key features of the province's socio-economic development.

Next, the delegation of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly also visited and worked with the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee. Receiving and working with the delegation were Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Provincial People's Committee Office, Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs.
The two sides also exchanged contents and programs on coordination activities and implementation of policies for the elderly. In particular, based on the proposal of the Provincial Association of the Elderly, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs consulted and was approved by the Provincial People's Committee to organize a conference to honor the elderly at the district level based on the respect from the commune level;...

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Hoa appreciated that the elderly in the province have many meaningful activities; at the same time, he hoped that in the coming time, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly and the province will continue to have many connections to better carry out the work of caring for and promoting the role of the elderly.
