(Baonghean.vn) - The Chairman of the District People's Committee will be responsible to the Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee if illegal railway crossings or pedestrian paths are allowed to arise in the area under their management.

Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just issued an official dispatch on strengthening coordination to ensure traffic order and safety at high intersections between roads and railways.
Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requested the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns with railways passing through to inspect and review existing problems and inadequacies in traffic organization at intersections between roads and railways in the area; synthesize, report and propose solutions to the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee.
Nghe An province also requested to launch a peak campaign to clear violations of road and railway traffic safety corridors; and completely clear violations that affect the visibility of traffic participants at intersections between roads and railways.
The People's Committees of districts, cities and towns with railways passing through are responsible for directing communes, wards and towns to regularly monitor, detect and take timely measures to prevent acts of illegally dismantling barriers between roads and railways, arbitrarily opening level crossings and residential paths across railways; absolutely not allowing illegal level crossings and residential paths to arise; arranging and assigning guards, increasing the time of guarding at residential paths where railway-related accidents often occur or are at risk.
Nghe An Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Transport to direct the Transport Inspectorate to coordinate with the Police and Railway Inspectorate to inspect and strictly handle violations of road and railway traffic safety and order according to regulations; implement regulations of the Ministry of Transport on handling black spots and unsafe traffic points between roads and railways.
The provincial police are responsible for directing the traffic police force, police of districts, cities and towns where railways pass through to strengthen inspection and strictly handle violations of traffic safety at intersections between roads and railways. Especially the following acts: Illegal removal of barriers between roads and railways, arbitrarily opening level crossings and pedestrian paths across railways, crossing railways when there are warning signals or barriers...
Recently, Nghe An has closed 25 illegal crossroads and pedestrian paths and prevented any more from arising.
