District Chairman directly directs search for man suspected of committing suicide on Lam River

Present at the scene, Mr. Ngoc Kim Nam - Chairman of Do Luong District People's Committee is actively directing functional forces including the District Military Command, Fire Prevention and Fighting Police, and commune authorities to use all means... to search for Mr. P.

Before that, at around 6:00 a.m. on February 22, the son of Mr. Dang Xuan P. (born in 1939, residing in Hamlet 2, Lam Son Commune, Do Luong) came to his father's house but did not see him, only saw a piece of paper on the table saying that he had committed suicide by going to the river.

Rushing to the Lam River, the son discovered on the shore a pair of sandals that Mr. P. often wore and a flashlight. The incident was reported to the local authorities.

Immediately afterwards, local people and authorities organized a search for Mr. P. but to no avail. As of 10:00 a.m. on February 23, no trace of Mr. P. had been found.

It is known that Mr. P's family is in very difficult circumstances, his wife has a terminal illness, he is also sick and has just returned home for Tet. Mr. P. has 3 children but his circumstances are also difficult.
