Compared to people of the same age, Mr. Viet joined the Youth Union movement quite late. In 2002, when he was 33 years old, he was elected as Secretary of the Youth Union of Khe Thoi village (Lang Khe commune). In 2004, he was appointed as Treasurer and then Vice Chairman of the Commune Fatherland Front Committee. Having always been concerned about the lives of the people of Lang Khe commune, when participating in the Front work, he had more conditions to directly help the community build a cultural life in residential areas, participate in movements for the poor...
Thanks to his efforts in the front work, since 2010, Mr. Viet was elected as Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Khe commune. The average production land here is only 116 m2/person, so many households have fallen into difficult circumstances. During the last term, he boldly advised the Party Committee to implement a model to support the poor in the commune using the mobilized "For the Poor" fund. Thanks to this fund, in 2013 and 2014, the Fatherland Front of Lang Khe commune supported 1 solidarity house in Khe Thoi village and 2 houses were renovated in Pieng Khu and Khe Thoi villages.
Also from the "For the Poor" fund, Mr. Viet boldly advised the Party Committee and the People's Committee of the commune to deploy a model to support poor households in the commune to raise pigs. This model has supported 6 households in the villages to buy pig breeds to develop livestock farming. Currently, the pig herd is growing well. In addition, as the head of the Commune Front organization, he also mobilized people to successfully deploy a model of applying new rice varieties to production with a yield of 67 quintals/ha. This is a remarkable achievement because in the last winter-spring crop, the area suffered a prolonged drought, many rice areas withered while the rice areas of this model still grew well and gave high yields...
Thanks to his enthusiasm in the work of the front, Mr. Viet was also elected to hold the position of Head of the Inspection Committee of the Lang Khe Party Committee and Chairman of the Commune Trade Union. In 2012, Mr. Loc Van Viet received a Certificate of Merit from the Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee. In 2013, the Lang Khe Commune Fatherland Front received a Certificate of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front!
