Ecuador Central Bank President Resigns Over Fake Degree

The President of the Central Bank of Ecuador, Mr. Pedro Delgado, has just resigned over a fake university degree..
Mr. Delgado admitted that he never completed his economics degree at Catholic University.
Speaking on television on Wednesday night, December 20, he said: “I made a mistake, a very serious mistake 22 years ago. I made the wrong decision. In order to achieve my goal of a degree, I made a mistake and now I have to pay a heavy price.”
Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa, who is also Mr. Delgado's cousin, said Mr. Delgado's dishonesty had dealt a serious blow to the government.
