Expressing his indignation and condemning China for illegally placing an oil rig in Vietnam's waters, seriously violating international law and Vietnam's sovereignty, voter Nguyen Huu Chau (Ward 7 - District 3) said: In this context, if the people of the whole country unite, no force will be able to subdue it.
Voter Nguyen Huu Chau recommends: The Party, State, National Assembly, and Government must use all necessary measures to force China to remove the Haiyang 981 drilling rig from Vietnam's sovereign waters, and not repeat similar cases in the future.
If China does not immediately stop its reckless activities, disregarding international law and the country's sovereignty, Vietnam needs to immediately proceed with a lawsuit to an international court for legal resolution.
Talking about some extremists who incited workers to destroy foreign investors' property at workers' marches in Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and Ho Chi Minh City, voters in District 3 raised the issue of the effectiveness of education and political awareness among the working class today.
Regarding the work of preventing corruption, voters of District 3 hope that law enforcement agencies need to have more effective solutions to prevent and strictly handle corruption. At the same time, the authorities need to review and immediately "plug" the loopholes in the current loose financial management mechanism of enterprises.
Speaking at a meeting with voters in District 3, President Truong Tan Sang emphasized: The Haiyang 981 drilling rig incident has seriously violated international law, going against the agreements between Vietnam and China, as well as with ASEAN on the East Sea issue.
Vietnam has always consistently used just and peaceful measures in accordance with international law, and has been supported by friends everywhere. Meanwhile, China has always gone against Vietnam.
