President attends the 'Spring Colors in Every Region of the Country' Festival in 2025
On February 15, President Luong Cuong attended cultural activities and extended New Year greetings to the Vietnamese ethnic community at the "Spring Colors Across the Country" Festival 2025, held at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism (Hanoi).

The festival is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) to introduce the unique cultures and customs of 54 ethnic groups across the country.
Also attending were Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries: Do Van Chien - Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Nguyen Trong Nghia - Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission; Party Central Committee members: Le Thanh Long - Deputy Prime Minister; Nguyen Thi Thanh - Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly; representatives of leaders of a number of ministries and branches.
Speaking at the festival, President Luong Cuong said that Vietnam is a multi-ethnic country, each ethnic group has its own unique, rich and distinctive cultural values, creating a cultural picture that is both diverse and highly unified, reflecting the creativity and bravery of the Vietnamese people throughout historical periods.
One of the most important values of the traditional culture of 54 ethnic groups is the spirit of great solidarity and mutual love, which has created endogenous strength and is the foundation that helps the Vietnamese people overcome all difficulties and challenges throughout the history of building and defending the country, fighting for national liberation in the past, as well as in the cause of building, developing the country and firmly protecting our beloved Vietnam today.
In recent years, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has proactively coordinated closely with central and local departments, ministries and branches to organize many cultural events of profound political significance at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.
Unique and colorful rituals and festivals are vividly formed in the cultural flow of ethnic groups, highlighting the diverse beauty of Vietnamese culture, attracting domestic and foreign tourists to visit, experience culture, and community tourism, thereby continuing to affirm and spread the vitality of traditional cultural values of the nation in development, exchange, integration and international cooperation.

The "Spring Colors Across the Country" festival is not only a spring celebration, but also a cultural and political event with many meanings. This is an opportunity for every Vietnamese citizen to review, preserve and deepen national cultural values, thereby further strengthening solidarity, enhancing understanding and accompanying each other in the cause of protecting, building and developing the country.
Emphasizing that building great national unity is a strategic task of special importance, the President noted that all levels, sectors and mass organizations from the central to local levels need to continue to research, promulgate and effectively implement ethnic policies, ensure the rights and improve the material and spiritual lives of ethnic people; at the same time, have effective solutions to protect and continue to promote the traditional cultural values of ethnic communities, preserving the unique cultural beauty of each ethnic group.
Among them, it is necessary to pay special attention to honoring and respecting the important contributions of artisans, village elders, village chiefs, and prestigious people among ethnic minorities.
The President requested that localities continue to focus on directing and organizing closely and effectively the implementation of national target programs to support socio-economic development, especially rural infrastructure, improve the quality of life for people, and have specific and practical solutions and jobs to increase income and improve the material and spiritual life of people of all ethnic groups.
At the same time, localities need to take care of education, culture, health, social welfare, pay more attention to the issue of training cadres, employment for young people, proactively and actively contribute to continuing to improve policies for ethnic minorities, creating more favorable conditions for them to participate more deeply and effectively in the overall development process of the country.

In the joyful atmosphere of the first day of the Spring festival, the President hopes that all compatriots, comrades, cadres and soldiers of the armed forces will devote all their strength and enthusiasm, through concrete and practical actions, to contributing to the common cause of the country, creating cohesion, fostering the great national unity bloc, contributing to cultivating Vietnamese culture, Vietnamese strength, Vietnamese values - a strong endogenous resource for national development.
With firm belief in the renovation process and the leadership of the Party, together with the united efforts and high determination of the entire Party, people and army, we will certainly successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, bringing our country confidently into a new era - an era of strong development and prosperity.

Speaking at the festival, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy said that the Spring Festival across the country is an opportunity to honor and introduce the cultural beauty, beliefs and customs of ethnic groups across the country, contributing to promoting the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values, while opening up a space for cultural exchange imbued with identity, for subjects to introduce their own ethnic culture.
In the new era of the country, the traditional culture of ethnic groups is increasingly promoted, becoming an important factor in preserving the identity and affirming the position of Vietnam in the international arena. The exchange and combination of traditional and modern cultural values not only helps preserve precious values but also creates motivation for creativity and innovation. Each ethnic group, from the Kinh to ethnic minorities, together contribute to create a vivid picture, demonstrating solidarity, unity in diversity, consensus, and determination to build a strong and sustainable Vietnam in the new era.

Coming to the Festival, people and tourists will be immersed in a space imbued with identity to feel more deeply the values and traditional cultural beauty of Vietnamese ethnic groups in the activities of welcoming the New Year and Spring that have existed for thousands of years, with outstanding activities such as: The opening ceremony of the Tower of the Cham people in Ninh Thuan province, the opening and introduction festival, the performance of the bamboo calendar - the national intangible cultural heritage of the Muong people in Hoa Binh province, the reenactment of the new rice celebration of the Raglai people in Ninh Thuan province.

From these specific activities, each citizen and tourist will feel the strength of tradition, the diversity and richness of national culture, thereby promoting patriotism and responsibility for preserving and promoting cultural values in the process of national development.
