The President sent a letter praising teachers for their dedication to students.

After following the information on the occasion of the Vietnam Teachers' Day November 20 about the examples of teachers who are dedicated to their profession, President Truong Tan Sang was moved, respected and wrote a letter of commendation to the teachers who have made many contributions to the education cause.

On November 30, the Office of the President coordinated with the People's Committees of Hanoi, Can Tho, and Thanh Hoa Provinces to present the President's letters of commendation to teachers. Teachers: Nguyen Tra (group 23B, residential area 5, Phuong Lien ward, Dong Da district, Hanoi); Nguyen Thi Thong (Thanh Lap village, Ngu Loc commune, Hau Loc district, Thanh Hoa); Le Trung Sung (223/10 Binh Yen B area, Long Hoa ward, Binh Thuy district, Can Tho)

Through following the information on the occasion of the Vietnam Teachers' Day 20/11, I realized that all over our country, from the North to the Central to the South, there are examples of teachers who are devoted to their profession, selflessly loving and educating their students. In those examples, I am especially touched and appreciate the work that teachers Nguyen Tra, Nguyen Thi Thong and Le Trung Sung have been doing diligently for the past decades.

Teacher Nguyen Tra, excellent teacher Nguyen Thi Thong, although retired for a long time and old, but regardless of effort and hardship, still continue to take care of and teach for free to many classes of disadvantaged, poor children, children of workers who due to difficult circumstances do not have the conditions to go to school, helping them not only to learn to read and write but also to have the opportunity to reach a better future; teacher Le Trung Sung, not only is a good teacher at school, but also regardless of the hardships from morning to night, voluntarily teaches swimming for free to thousands of children, helping them not only to learn to swim but also to have the ability to win the opportunity to live in the river area.

The work that the above mentioned teachers have done reflects the good qualities of Vietnamese teachers today, which originate from the thousands of years of cultural tradition of the nation. I highly respect and warmly commend the dedication and achievements of the above mentioned teachers.

On this occasion, I also hope that teachers across the country will continue to dedicate themselves to sacrifice and contribute tirelessly to impart to generations of students comprehensive knowledge and necessary life skills, so that they have the ability to inherit and follow in the footsteps of their ancestors, successfully build and firmly protect the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
