President Truong Tan Sang arrives in Russia to attend APEC Summit

The President visited Vladivostok, attended the APEC 2012 Conference and participated in a number of activities in the Far East region.

Welcoming President Truong Tan Sang and the Vietnamese delegation at Könevichi airport were leaders of Primorsky Krai province, leaders of the Russian Federation Protocol Department, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang who are attending APEC week activities; Vietnamese Ambassador to the Russian Federation Pham Xuan Son, along with staff of the Consulate General and representatives of the Vietnamese Community in Vladivostok.

The President expressed his pleasure to attend APEC 2012 in Vladivostok, the largest multilateral conference in the Asia-Pacific region. The Vietnamese delegation attended APEC 20 with Vietnam's position in international and regional forums, including APEC, constantly being enhanced.

This visit of President Truong Tan Sang and the high-ranking delegation of our country aims to implement the foreign policy of the 11th Party Congress on proactively and actively integrating deeply and comprehensively into the world, continuing to play an important role in cooperation frameworks in the Asia-Pacific region, including APEC.
