“Up to now, it is very gratifying to see that the issues that the National Assembly questioned, requested, and assigned tasks that the Government members responded to and committed to have all been reported to the National Assembly. In general, the National Assembly's responses to questions and resolutions have been quite good. Up to now, 37 Government members have answered questions before the National Assembly,” Mr. Nguyen Sinh Hung informed.
Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung also emphasized that at this session, the National Assembly decided to select 4 contents for questioning.
Firstly, the financial issues that arise are finance with public debt, bad debt settlement, tax collection, and budget.
Second is the issue of education - the top national policy, in which the quality of education and training stands out; PhDs, masters, students, and workers who have graduated lack jobs, and the imbalance between the quality of education and training and the country's requirements.
Third is the issue of innovation and institutional reform. This is a breakthrough issue that the Party has proposed, which is very necessary for the country.
Fourth, the National Assembly selects issues to resolve complaints and denunciations, inspect, prevent corruption, combat loss, waste, and negativity.
The National Assembly Chairman said that the "four big debts" including public debt, budget revenue debt, tax debt; employment debt; document debt; debt of necessary measures to fight against negativity, waste, corruption... are demanded by voters nationwide.
Therefore, this session the National Assembly conducted 2.5 days to question 5 members of the Government.
Up to now, there have been 194 questions from 60 National Assembly deputies from 37 delegations sent to the President, Prime Minister, National Assembly Chairman, Government members, and industry leaders.
“Most of these questions have been answered in writing. During the question and answer session in the hall, the weather was very hot, the press also said that the National Assembly was hot from the East Sea, islands to the economy, society, and security. But the National Assembly was not hot, but very calm, clear-headed, with a democratic spirit, open and frank, at the same time promoting its intelligence in solving problems. The question and answer session needs to be frank, open, and give and take to resolve those four debts well,” the National Assembly Chairman affirmed.
