National Assembly Chairman meets with Polish President
This visit is an important milestone to continue strengthening and opening up new opportunities in the cooperative relationship between the two countries.
Continuing his official visit to the Republic of Poland, last night (March 15, Hanoi time), National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung met with President of the Republic of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski at the Presidential Palace.
At the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung expressed his delight at the strong and comprehensive developments in the bilateral relationship in recent times; and affirmed that the National Assembly, Government and people of Vietnam highly value and wish to further deepen the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Poland, considering this one of the top priorities in Vietnam's foreign policy in the Central and Eastern Europe region.

Expressing his sincere thanks to the Government and people of Poland for their efforts in defending the Fatherland and building and developing the country today, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung informed the Polish President of the good results of the talks and meetings with the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President of the Senate of Poland.
The National Assembly Chairman hopes that the two countries will promote more effective and comprehensive cooperation in all fields of politics, economics, national security and defense, culture, education and training, as a premise to soon elevate bilateral relations. At the same time, he asked Poland to continue supporting Vietnam in strengthening comprehensive relations with the European Union, especially in the economic and trade fields; urging the European Union to recognize Vietnam's market economy status; and supporting Vietnam in negotiating a free trade agreement with the European Union.
In order to promote investment and trade activities between the two countries, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung also hopes that the two sides will strengthen the exchange and consultation mechanism between relevant agencies; in that spirit, Vietnam will facilitate and promote investment activities of Polish enterprises in Vietnam as well as create a favorable environment and conditions for effective and practical investment by Polish enterprises, making an important contribution to the economic development of the two countries.
On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung asked the Polish Government to continue creating favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to live and do business in Poland, making practical contributions to the Polish economy and helping to strengthen relations between the two countries.
Welcoming National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly to an official visit to Poland, President Bronislaw Komorowski said that this visit is an important milestone to continue consolidating and opening up new opportunities in the cooperative relationship between the two countries.
Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski highly appreciated the cooperation between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Polish National Assembly and suggested that both sides continue to maintain and increase visits and contacts between high-ranking leaders of the two countries, in order to promote the development of the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Poland. The two sides also need to increase delegation exchanges and cooperation at the ministerial, sectoral and local levels of the two countries to strengthen coordination and promote bilateral relations, especially in the economic and trade fields.
Also last night, before concluding his official visit to Poland, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and the high-ranking delegation of the National Assembly visited, presented gifts and talked with officials and staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Poland./.
