National Assembly Chairman concludes visit to three European countries
On March 17, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly returned to Hanoi, successfully concluding their official visits to the Russian Federation, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Poland.

The visits were made at the invitation of Ms. Valentina Ivanovna Matviyenko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council, Federal Assembly, Russian Federation; Mr. Norbert Lammert, Chairman of the Federal Assembly, Federal Republic of Germany and Ms. Ewa Kopacz, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Republic of Poland.
In the Russian Federation, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung held talks with Chairwoman of the Federation Council, Federal Assembly, Russian Federation Valentina Ivanovna Matviyenko; and met with Chairman of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation (Russian State Duma) Sergei Naryshkin.
Notably, during his official visit to the Russian Federation, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung also met with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev; met with Chairman of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov and Chairman of the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association Buianov.
In Moscow, the Russian capital, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and his delegation visited the staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community living and working in the Russian Federation; visited the Hanoi-Moscow Cultural, Commercial and Hotel Center. The delegation also laid flowers and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier, next to the Kremlin wall, and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the Square named after him.
On the occasion of his official visit to the Russian Federation, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and the Vietnamese High-Level Delegation visited the city of Saint Petersburg. Here, the delegation met with Acting Governor Igor Divinsky; Acting Chairman of the Legislative Assembly SA Andenko.
During an official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly held talks with Chairman of the Federal Assembly of the Federal Republic of Germany Norbert Lammert and met with Chairman of the Federal Council of the Federal Republic of Germany Winfried Kretschman.
During the visit, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly attended the Plenary Session of the Federal Republic of Germany's Parliament; visited and talked with officials and staff of the Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community in the Federal Republic of Germany.
Visiting the state of Hessen (Federal Republic of Germany), National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung met with the Chairman of the Hessen State Parliament, Norbert Kartmann, and the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Justice, Integration and Europe of the state of Hessen, Joerg Uwe Hahn. National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung spent time meeting with representatives of leaders of several large German corporations; visited and presented gifts to officials and staff of the Consulate General and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Frankfurt.
In Warsaw (Poland), National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung held talks with President of the Polish House of Representatives Ewa Kopacz and met with President of the Polish Senate Bogdan Borusewicz.
National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly laid flowers in memory of Polish parliamentarians who died in World War II and in the plane crash in Smolensk, in the grounds of the Polish Parliament Building.
Notably, within the framework of the visit, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung met with President of the Republic of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski at the Presidential Palace.
Before concluding his official visit to Poland, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly laid flowers at the Monument to the Unknown Martyrs; visited, presented gifts and talked with officials and staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Poland.
During the talks and meetings with National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, he affirmed that the National Assembly, Government and people of Vietnam highly value and wish to deepen the traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation with Russia, Germany and Poland.
Leaders of the countries visited by the delegation expressed their delight at the visit of National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly; and wished that the two countries would promote more effective and comprehensive cooperation in all fields of politics, economics, national defense and security, culture, education and training, and continuously consolidate the traditional relationship with Vietnam.
The leaders of the National Assembly and localities of the Russian Federation, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Poland also said that the visit would continue to consolidate and open up new opportunities in the cooperative relationship between the two countries; at the same time, they proposed to further strengthen relations with the Vietnamese National Assembly in legislative work and supervision of cooperation programs between the two governments, to increasingly bring about practical results, contributing to fostering the relationship between the two countries./.
