(Baonghean.vn) -Within the framework of the working program in Nghe An, this afternoon (February 23), Comrade Nguyen Sinh Hung - Politburo member, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, held a flower and incense offering ceremony at the tomb of King Mai Hac De at the Temple and tomb of King Mai under Dun Son mountain, Nam Dan. Also participating were Comrade Phan Dinh Trac - Party Central Committee member, Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission; leaders of Nam Dan province and district.

Offering flowers and incense at the temple and tomb of King Mai, comrade Nguyen Sinh Hung and his comrades in the delegation respectfully commemorated the merits of King Mai and his generals who had the merit of repelling the Tang invaders and establishing the Van An nation 1,300 years ago. It was King Mai's will to save the country and people, his sense of independence and autonomy that continued to foster the indomitable will and heroic struggle for national independence and peace for many generations thousands of years later.

On this occasion, comrade Nguyen Sinh Hung and other leaders of the Central Government and Nam Dan district organized a memorial tree planting ceremony in the temple grounds and tomb of King Mai.

Previously, also at the temple and tomb of King Mai Hac De, the Central leadership delegation and leaders of Nghe An province held a ceremony to offer flowers and incense to King Mai Hac De with all their sincerity and deep gratitude.
