National Assembly Chairman visits the Federal Republic of Germany
The first stop of the National Assembly Chairman was Frankfurt city - the leading economic, financial and educational center in Europe.
Following the official visit to three European countries, at noon on March 12 (Hanoi time), National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and members of the high-ranking delegation of the National Assembly of Vietnam left Moscow (Russia) for Frankfurt, the capital of Hessen state - the first stop on the official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany at the invitation of German Parliament Chairman Norbert Lammert.
Immediately after landing at the airport, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung met and received leaders of several leading German corporations.
After listening to the representative of the Boss Group, some members of the German East Asia Banking Association... who are investing and doing business in Vietnam, clearly stating the direction of operation and issues related to production and business in Vietnam, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung emphasized: The Vietnam-Germany strategic partnership is increasingly developing strongly and effectively in all fields. Therefore, the delegation's visit to Germany this time is not only to further consolidate that strategic partnership so that the two countries can open a new stage of development in the future and strengthen the relationship between the legislative bodies of the two sides, but also to create conditions to promote the effective operation of businesses of the two countries.

The National Assembly Chairman affirmed: Vietnam attaches importance to the cooperative relationship with the state of Hessen, home to the city of Frankfurt - a leading economic, financial and educational center in Germany and Europe.
Appreciating the presence of leading German enterprises in Vietnam and Vietnamese enterprises in Germany, the National Assembly Chairman considered it a leading foundation for businesses of both sides to promote economic and trade cooperation; contributing to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The presence of leading German economic groups in Vietnam has actively contributed to the growth of trade turnover between Vietnam and the state of Hessen, which reached a record of more than 972 million USD in 2011, double that of 2010 and a 10-fold increase since 2000.
Currently, Germany is Vietnam's largest trading partner in the European Union, as shown by the increasing trade turnover between the two countries reaching nearly 6 billion USD in 2012.
The National Assembly Chairman affirmed: Vietnam is a dynamic country, an emerging market with a young workforce, with great potential for developing cooperation with Germany. The Vietnamese National Assembly strongly supports businesses of the two countries to actively explore business and investment opportunities in each country. The Vietnamese State is also implementing synchronous innovation, improving the investment environment; supporting and creating favorable conditions for German businesses to invest and do business effectively, long-term and stably in Vietnam, as well as supporting localities of the two countries to learn and share experiences in areas where Germany has technological strengths such as equipment manufacturing, industry, healthcare, energy, chemicals, etc.; supporting the promotion of the program to bring Vietnamese goods into German supermarket chains.
Based on the reality and development needs of the two countries, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung suggested that leaders of leading German corporations - enterprises with strong voices in strengthening economic relations - continue to implement cooperation and investment plans in Vietnam; in order to promote economic, trade and investment relations between the two countries to be increasingly effective and expanded, contributing to the sustainable and stable development of each country.
Late in the afternoon, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung visited and talked with Consulate General staff and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Frankfurt.
The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that the Party and State's policy of great national unity always creates favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community abroad to have a stable life, integrate into the host society, help the community maintain and promote the national cultural identity, and turn towards the homeland.
Currently, our State has issued many policies to facilitate Vietnamese people abroad such as visa exemption regulations for Vietnamese people abroad and their relatives; the National Assembly has passed a Resolution on allowing Vietnamese people abroad to buy houses in the country and has passed the Nationality Law in the direction of facilitating the Vietnamese community abroad to return to their homeland and country...
National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung also asked diplomatic missions and Vietnamese people working, living and studying in Germany to actively contribute opinions to the draft amendments to the 1992 Constitution, in order to build a new Constitution that is consistent with the aspirations of the people and the process of international integration./.
