Chinese President Xi Jinping meets Russian Prime Minister Medvedev
On December 15, Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in Wuzhen, Zhejiang Province, eastern China, in which the Chinese leader expressed hope that China-Russia relations will further develop in 2016 to bring more benefits to the people of both countries.

Appreciating the achievements in bilateral cooperation in 2015, President Xi Jinping said that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to persistently implement policies to deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation, regardless of changes in the regional and global situation.
According to the Chinese President, Beijing and Moscow also pledged to work to promote common development between the two countries, while safeguarding international law, as well as world peace and stability.
Xi Jinping also said that both countries are in a critical period of economic model transformation and structural adjustment, and called on the two sides to cooperate in building China's "Silk Road Economic Belt" and the Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).
For his part, Prime Minister Medvedev said that Russia is pleased with the high level of development of Russia-China relations, as well as the continuous development of bilateral cultural and economic cooperation.
According to Prime Minister Ngay, Moscow is making efforts to strategically connect the EEU and the "Silk Road Economic Belt" initiative and is committed to strengthening cooperation with China in areas such as infrastructure, energy, finance, investment, information networks and other fields./.
