Chinese President Xi Jinping to visit Vietnam
Chinese President Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to Vietnam on November 12 and 13.

At the invitation of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Tran Dai Quang, Chinese President Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to Vietnam from November 12 to 13, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said today.
This is Mr. Tap's first foreign trip since the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. At this event, Mr. Tap was re-elected as General Secretary and Chairman of the Central Military Commission.
Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son on November 2 assessed the visit as a "new milestone" in the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. He said bilateral cooperation has made many positive developments, and the two sides still regularly maintain high-level exchanges.
Mr. Tap also attended and spoke at APEC, Da Nang, Mr. Bui Thanh Son added.
China is Vietnam's largest trading partner and has the largest number of tourists to Vietnam. Meanwhile, Vietnam is China's largest trading partner in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
