Chinese President Xi Jinping to visit and attend 80th Victory Day celebrations in Russia
Chinese President Xi Jinping will pay an official visit to Russia from May 7-10.

According to RIA Novosti on May 4, the Kremlin press office said that Chinese President Xi Jinping will pay an official visit to Russia.
"At the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping will pay an official visit to the Russian Federation from May 7 to 10 and take part in ceremonial events marking the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War," the Kremlin announced.
According to the Kremlin, during the talks, key issues of further development of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction, as well as current issues of the international and regional agenda will be discussed. The two sides are expected to sign a number of bilateral intergovernmental and inter-ministerial documents.
Russia is looking forward to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (May 9, 1945 - May 9, 2025), one of the most sacred and meaningful holidays for the Russian people.
The central event will be a large-scale military parade on Red Square in Moscow, with the participation of more than 10,000 soldiers and hundreds of modern military vehicles and equipment.
According to the Kremlin, leaders of about 20 countries will come to Moscow to attend the parade, including leaders of CIS countries (former member states of the Soviet Union).
In addition, General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico and President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic confirmed that they will attend the parade.
According to Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov, soldiers from 19 countries have been invited to attend the parade, of which 10 countries have confirmed their participation such as Vietnam, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan...
