Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee directed to handle the "Sore issue of "Agent Orange" in Nghi Loc"
(Baonghean) - Nghe An Newspaper, issue dated February 24, 2012, carried an article "The painful story of "Agent Orange" in Nghi Loc" reflecting: The implementation of the support policy for victims of Agent Orange in Nghi Loc district is a matter of public concern.
The article cited many cases that are not eligible for the support policy for victims of Agent Orange, even cases that did not go to the battlefield but their records all stated that they had been to B and are currently receiving Agent Orange benefits. Meanwhile, a group of people who are eligible, have children with disabilities, are in extremely difficult circumstances, and have complete and valid records, have not yet been approved. The authorities need to quickly step in to clarify and identify the correct subjects who are entitled to the policy according to regulations. Avoid the situation where lines of "running" Agent Orange benefits affect a correct policy of the Party and State.
On March 1, 2012, the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 1093/UBND-VX to the Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Chairman of the Nghi Loc District People's Committee, assigning the Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to preside over and coordinate with the Chairman of the Nghi Loc District People's Committee to inspect, clarify the content of the newspaper's reflection and strictly handle it according to regulations (if it is true as the newspaper's reflection). Report the handling results to the Provincial People's Committee before March 30, 2012.
