(Baonghean) - During the training and combat readiness process, the Party Committee and commander of Regiment E764 - Provincial Military Command thoroughly grasped the Party's guidelines, viewpoints and ideology, and excellently completed the assigned tasks. In particular, the work of developing the Party among soldiers was focused on, actively contributing to the training of young Party members for local Party bases after completing their military service.

TAlthough the weather was cold and the rain was pouring down, on the training ground of Regiment 764, the soldiers were still enthusiastically practicing the skills of operating anti-aircraft and anti-aircraft artillery. The exciting training atmosphere dispelled the cold, many soldiers were still covered in sweat. All were united in achieving many achievements to celebrate the 69th anniversary of the tradition of the People's Armed Forces on December 22.

In today's training teams, the face of soldier Dam Huy Tuan, Company 1, Battalion 41, from Thanh Tien Commune, Thanh Chuong seemed brighter. Because before entering the training session, he received information that his superiors had approved his admission to the party organization on December 22 this year. Along with him, this time there were 5 other comrades honored to be admitted to the Communist Party.

Sharing with us during the break between training sessions, soldier Dam Huy Tuan said: “I feel very proud to be a member of the Party organization on the occasion of the force’s traditional day. Before the training session, the company commander announced this information and received many congratulations from my teammates, I almost burst into tears. A few minutes ago, I asked the commander for permission to inform my family, the whole family was very excited…”.

As for party members Le Minh Thao, from Lam Son, Do Luong, and Pham Van Ai, from Thanh Dong, Thanh Chuong, the joy was multiplied when this year they received two important decisions. That is, they were admitted to the party organization on May 19 and were accepted as defense workers with long-term dedication in the army. Comrade Thao was assigned to the unit's electricity and water repair team, and comrade Ai to the vehicle team. Sharing with us, young party member Pham Van Ai affirmed: "After completing my service, I was accepted into the professional army, continuing to be attached to the unit for a long time. This is a great joy for my whole family. As a young party member, I will strive to constantly improve myself. No matter what position I hold, I promise to do my best to serve the army and serve the people."

The above-mentioned party members are typical examples of the 25 young party members admitted in 2013 of Regiment 764. With the characteristics of being a unit training new soldiers and always ready for combat, the Party Committee and Command of the Regiment always pay attention to improving the work of "training troops and training cadres", creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere in every stage. During that process, in addition to maintaining strict military discipline, party cells and working teams regularly stay close to young soldiers to grasp their aspirations and motivate each person to strive to improve in training and perform well the assigned tasks. Through that, they promptly discover and nurture typical factors as a source for the Party.

In 2013, based on the evaluation of the units and the recommendations of 6 Party cells, the Party Committee of the Regiment organized training for 20 comrades, and admitted 25 Party members who were young soldiers. Statistics show that within 3 years, from 2010 to present, the Party Committee of Regiment 764 has admitted 88 soldiers to the Party. All of these comrades were conscripts. Immediately after completing 18 months of service, these comrades returned to their hometowns and became important nuclei for Party organizations in the countryside.

Captain Tran Van Hai - Assistant to the E764 Organization said: “The unit focuses on the process of training and admitting young soldiers to the Party right from when they first join the army. During the process of reviewing the soldiers' records, we know their qualifications, abilities, and some personal qualities. From there, we assign tasks to officers and commanders at all levels to strengthen the training work. Many comrades have made remarkable progress in training, performing combat readiness tasks, and enthusiastically participating in mass movements, arts, and sports. Therefore, many comrades were admitted to the Party within 1 year of joining the army. These comrades, after completing their military service and returning to their localities, have promoted their roles and responsibilities well, enthusiastically participating in socio-economic development movements, and maintaining security and order. Many comrades also participate in the grassroots Party committees and the Military Commands of communes and wards.”

Discussing the Party development work in the unit, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Chau - Party Secretary, Political Commissar of Regiment 764 said: The Party admission of soldiers participating in military service in recent years has actively contributed to strengthening positive factors for Party bases in localities. In particular, of the total number of Party members admitted annually, 50% are children of ethnic minorities in mountainous and highland districts. To improve the quality of Party members in the young soldiers, in addition to the task of training and combat readiness, the unit focuses on fostering knowledge of laws, normative and administrative documents as well as the Party and State's orientations on socio-economic development associated with ensuring national defense and security...".

The good implementation of Party development work among military servicemen has contributed positively to creating a source of high-quality cadres for localities, especially in remote, isolated and extremely difficult areas. This policy has been focused on by military units. By the end of 2013, units under the Provincial Military Command had recruited 85 party members, serving as a source for party organizations in villages, hamlets and hamlets.

In addition, hundreds of soldiers who have been trained by units, have good moral qualities, have attended party target classes, and have their resumes, records, and training results transferred to their localities for further monitoring. If qualified, they will be admitted to the Party locally. However, to improve the quality of party members as well as promote the role of party members after completing their service, military units need to coordinate more closely with local authorities, continue to train, and assign tasks that are close to the reality of the base. This will promptly motivate and promote the role and responsibility of young people who have been trained in the military environment in socio-economic development in the regions.
