In the first 6 months of 2011, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An has made many efforts and achieved remarkable results.
To promote and celebrate events, anniversaries and major holidays such as: Celebrating the Party - Celebrating the New Year, Celebrating the 121st anniversary of Uncle Ho's birthday, the election of the 13th National Assembly and People's Council delegates at all levels for the 2011-2016 term, Cua Lo Sea Tourism Festival... visual propaganda and agitation work is one step ahead, in many diverse forms such as agitation clusters, slogans, banners, VCD releases, art programs...
Two professional art troupes continued to improve the quality of content creation, performing programs and plays to serve the people, especially those in remote, mountainous areas. The Song and Dance Drama Troupe performed 120 shows, of which 32 were outside the province, earning 354 million VND. The establishment and operation of the Center for Preservation and Promotion of Nghe An Folk Heritage is noteworthy. The Center performed 110 shows to serve political, cultural and social tasks, earning 936 million VND...
Regarding reading culture, Nghe An Provincial Library organized a good exhibition and reading room for the New Year of the Cat, issued 500 new reader cards, served 10,000 readers, circulated 20,300 books and newspapers, attracting a large number of book lovers to the Vietnam Ethnic Culture Festival and World Book Copyright Day. Many libraries and bookcases in districts and cities were built, contributing to expanding the provincial library network...
With the Film Distribution and Screening Center, in addition to the mobile film screening teams serving mountainous, remote and isolated areas according to the annual plan, the Center also organizes a good film week to celebrate the Party, celebrate Spring, and celebrate Uncle Ho's birthday in Vinh City and some districts, cities, towns...
In the work of preserving and promoting cultural heritage values, we have advised the Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to rank 2 national relics and 6 provincial relics; directed the completion of the project to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for a decision on decentralization of management of scenic relics in the province and regulations on receiving, managing and using donations at the relics; guided the ceremony for nearly 20 traditional festivals and new festivals at scenic relics; organized 4 ceremonies to receive the Certificate of Recognition of the relics, advised Thai Hoa Town to name a number of roads...
Grassroots cultural activities have been considered a good tradition of the Nghe An Culture sector for many years. The sector has directed districts, cities and towns to continue promoting the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life"; organized a delegation of Nghe An to attend the conference summarizing 10 years of the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" in the period 2000 - 2010 at the national level in Hanoi.
From now until the end of the year, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will focus on directing a number of festivals such as "Drinking water, remembering its source", Quang Trung Temple, Hong Son Temple, Ong Hoang Muoi Temple; Festival of folk music and singing clubs in the whole province in 2011; completing and submitting to the province for approval a number of projects on the Ethnic Music and Dance Troupe, planning the construction of the Provincial Temple of Literature...
