The person who poisoned the wedding water tank with pesticides has not been caught yet.

(Baonghean.vn)- As of the evening of September 10, authorities have yet to catch the person who cruelly poured pesticides into the water tank used for the wedding at the home of Mr. Dao Quang Tho and Ms. Phan Thi Thanh (residing in Hamlet 6, Duc Dung Commune, Duc Tho District, Ha Tinh).

Mr. Nguyen Doan Quy, Chief of Duc Dung Commune Police, said: "Currently, the Duc Tho District Police are actively investigating and arresting the person who poured pesticides into the water tank used for the wedding and damaged the sound system at the wedding of Mr. Tho and Ms. Thanh. Fortunately, people discovered pesticides in the water tank in time, otherwise the consequences would have been extremely serious."

Mr. Dao Quang Tho stood next to his family's water tank, still in shock.

Mr. Tho and his wife said: on the night of September 1st, Mr. Tho and Mrs. Thanh (his wife) organized a happy wedding party for their son, Mr. Dao Quang Vinh. While everyone was singing and having fun at the wedding, the speakers suddenly turned off. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the entire sound system was wet with water and the smell of pesticides was strong.

Then, Ms. Thanh's younger brother took the beef out to wash to prepare the tray and food for the wedding reception the next day. He discovered that the water was cloudy and smelled of pesticides, so he reported it to Mr. Tho's family.

At this time, people present at the wedding discovered a bottle of pesticide labeled WAVOTOX 585EC (capacity 100ml) floating in the water tank.

Faced with the serious situation above, Mr. Tho's family had to go elsewhere to get water to cook for the wedding.

Upon receiving the information, the Criminal Police Department of Duc Tho District Police arrived at Mr. Tho’s house to collect evidence, take statements from the victim’s family and witnesses, and begin the investigation. Duc Tho District Police also seized the pesticide bottle and took water samples for testing to serve the investigation.

Mr. Tho added that two years ago in Duc Dung commune, there was also a case of speaker and radio vandalism at a wedding. The owner of the wedding tent and loudspeaker in the commune, angry that the family had a wedding that did not rent the tent and loudspeaker but rented them from outside the commune, put salt in the speakers and radio, damaging them.

After that, this person had to pay 27 million VND in compensation to the loudspeaker owner and was administratively fined.

Currently, the police are narrowing down the suspicion from the conflict between the owners of the wedding tents and loudspeakers. On the day of the wedding, Tho's family did not rent the tent and loudspeakers from the owners in the commune but rented them from Duc An commune.
