In recent days, many Vietnamese media have reported that three formula nutrition products: Beingmate's Baby Club, Synutra's Super and Yili's Gold sold in China contain trans-fat.

After receiving the above information, the Food Safety Department urgently reviewed the announcement of imported nutritional formula products into Vietnam.

The results show that, up to now, these 3 products have not been granted a Certificate of Conformity Declaration by the Department of Food Safety.

To clarify the above information, the Department has contacted the competent authorities of China and Hong Kong. Currently, these two agencies have not made any official announcement on the above issue.

According to the National Technical Regulation on formula nutrition products for children up to 12 months old No. QCVN 11-1:2012/BYT and the Standard of the International Food Standards Commission CODEX STAN 72-1981, the trans fat content must not exceed 3% of the total fatty acids in the product.

The Food Safety Department will continue to update relevant information to provide it to consumers as quickly as possible./.
