No information yet on Vietnamese deaths in US forest fire

The Vietnamese Embassy in the US has been working closely with the Vietnamese Consulate General in San Francisco, contacting local authorities to grasp the situation and learned that, so far, there is no information that Vietnamese people are among the victims killed by the forest fire.

Upon hearing the news of the serious wildfire disaster occurring in the state of California, in the western United States, which has killed at least 31 people as of November 11, the Vietnamese Embassy in the United States issued a statement expressing sorrow over the enormous loss of life and property to hundreds of thousands of people living in the area where the wildfire occurred.

A VNA correspondent in the US quoted the Vietnamese Embassy's statement as saying: "We would like to express our sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims. We believe that the California state government, local authorities and people in the areas affected by the wildfires will soon control the situation and overcome the consequences of the natural disaster, overcome this loss and stabilize their lives."

The Vietnamese Embassy in the US has been working closely with the Vietnamese Consulate General in San Francisco, contacting local authorities to grasp the situation and learned that, so far, there is no information that Vietnamese people are among the victims killed by the forest fire.
