According to Oriental medicine, marigolds have a bitter taste, aromatic smell, and cool properties; have the effect of clearing heat, detoxifying, expectorant, and treating coughs.
Marigolds are also known as hibiscus, chrysanthemum, golden chrysanthemum, double marigold... It is an upright herb, 0.6 - 1m high, branching into bushes with spreading branches. The leaves are deeply split in the shape of a bird's feather, the lobes are narrow, long, pointed, serrated. The flower heads are round, 3 - 4cm wide or more, growing alone or in clusters; the bracts of the involucre are fused together; the flowers are yellow or orange-yellow, the crest consists of 6 - 7 separate or fused scales.
The flowers on the outside are small, spreading tongue-shaped, the flowers on the inside are tubular and small. The fruit has 1-2 short scales. The plant is grown by cuttings or sowing seeds in moist soil with lots of light. The plant flowers from winter to summer. People harvest flowers in spring and summer, dry them in the sun. The leaves are harvested year-round, usually used fresh.

Used in:
Recipe 1: Support treatment of bronchial asthma: 20g marigold, celery, Chinese clematis, purple jasmine, Chinese clematis, Chinese clematis root, and Chinese clematis root, each 10g, chopped and dried, boiled with 400ml of water until 100ml remains, drink twice a day. Use for 3-5 days.
Lesson 2: Nourish and improve eyesight: 20g marigold flowers, 50g chicken liver, minced and cooked. 10 days is a course of treatment.
