Responding to questions from the press about three draft laws, including the Law on Ensuring Basic Security and Order; the Law on Road Traffic and the Law on Ensuring Road Traffic Safety, Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang, Deputy Chairman of the Law Committee, said that the three draft laws have been included in the agenda and commented on at the 10th session of the 14th National Assembly. After the National Assembly discussed them, the National Assembly Standing Committee sent out a poll, asking for the delegates' opinions on whether to separate the Law on Road Traffic and the Law on Ensuring Road Traffic Safety or not?
“The National Assembly has not yet decided, but this is only a survey, the majority proposes not to separate the law. Based on the survey results, the Secretary General of the National Assembly has issued a document announcing the opinion on these three draft laws, requesting further study, reporting to the National Assembly Standing Committee, and reporting to the National Assembly,” said Nguyen Truong Giang, Deputy Chairman of the Law Committee.
According to Mr. Giang, after the 10th session, the Government directed the drafting agencies, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Transport, to study and absorb the opinions and opinions of delegates to continue to complete and report to the Government so that the Government can submit to the National Assembly. In the Government's Resolution, there is a very important issue that the drafting agency is requested to report to the Politburo before reporting to the National Assembly Standing Committee and reporting to the National Assembly. But when the Government submitted to the National Assembly Standing Committee, it was not included in the file.
On that basis, the Secretary General of the National Assembly informed the opinion of the National Assembly Standing Committee, requesting the Government and the drafting agency to report to the Politburo before reporting to the National Assembly Standing Committee and reporting to the National Assembly./.
