Vinh Nghiem Pagoda gives 250 gifts to poor households and victims of Agent Orange
(Baonghean) -Recently, the Red Cross Society of Anh Son district together with Vinh Nghiem pagoda (Ho Chi Minh City) organized the giving of 250 gifts to poor households and victims of Agent Orange in Linh Son and Tuong Son communes, Anh Son district.
Each gift is worth 300,000 VND, including 10kg of rice, 1 box of instant noodles and 100,000 VND in cash.
It is known that in May 2011, Anh Son Red Cross Society also mobilized people from all walks of life to support the Japanese people affected by the earthquake and tsunami with 130 million VND, the amount was transferred to Nghe An Red Cross Society. Anh Son District also supported the construction of humanitarian works of the Central Society with 35 million VND.
