(Baonghean.vn) -This afternoon, October 12, under the chairmanship of comrade Tran Hong Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Steering Committee for major holidays of the province, the Steering Committee met to evaluate and draw experience from the organization of events: the 110th anniversary of the birth of General Secretary Le Hong Phong, the 110th anniversary of the birth of comrade Phan Dang Luu and deploy the plan to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of comrade Nguyen Tiem - the first Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and the 100th anniversary of the birth of General Chu Huy Man, the 1,300th anniversary of the Hoan Chau uprising and the 1,290th anniversary of the death of King Mai Hac De.

Also attending were Standing Committee members: To Hong Hai - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Nguyen Xuan Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of relevant departments, branches and Vinh City, Nam Dan and Hung Nguyen districts.

The assessment of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department shows that our province has successfully organized the 110th birthday anniversary of General Secretary Le Hong Phong and the 110th birthday anniversary of comrade Phan Dang Luu, creating a profound impression and meaning throughout the entire Party, army and people.

The Steering Committee also reported on plans to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Nguyen Tiem - the first Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Nghe An (November 10, 1912 - November 10, 2012), the 100th anniversary of the birth of General Chu Huy Man (March 17, 1913 - March 17, 2013), the 1,300th anniversary of the Hoan Chau uprising and the 1,290th anniversary of the death of King Mai Hac De.

At the meeting, members of the steering committee spoke, clearly stating the advantages, shortcomings and limitations in organizing those important events, and at the same time, pointing out the shortcomings and difficulties, especially regarding the organization's budget, and making recommendations and proposals to the province to better direct the organization of the holidays.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Tran Hong Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the direction and proactive planning of the assigned units and agencies, and the good coordination in implementing the tasks, contributing to the successful organization of the events. He also pointed out some limitations, namely, the overall plan for major holidays of the entire term has not yet been developed; funding is still difficult; the connection and coordination between central ministries and branches with the province and between branches in the province are sometimes not tight...

In the coming time, our province still has a number of important events that need to be carefully organized such as the 100th birthday of Comrade Nguyen Tiem - the first Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; the 100th birthday of General Chu Huy Man and the 1300th anniversary of the Hoan Chau Uprising... Therefore, it is required to carefully prepare the program and organization plan, have a backup plan in case of bad weather; continue to supplement funding for construction of unfinished items; effectively carry out the management, exploitation and use of items after the celebration. Regarding the recommendations and proposals of the Steering Committee members, Comrade Tran Hong Chau assigned relevant sectors to supplement the plan and learn from experience to organize better./.
