Carefully prepare the Groundbreaking Ceremony of Quynh Lap 1 Thermal Power Plant Project

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 1, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, inspected the site of the groundbreaking ceremony of the Quynh Lap 1 Thermal Power Plant project in Dong Hoi Industrial Park and worked with relevant units on the organization of the project's groundbreaking ceremony.

Attending the event were leaders of Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV), Electricity Corporation - Vinnacomin (project investor) and leaders of relevant departments, agencies and branches.

According to the investor's report, on August 26, 2015, the Electricity Corporation - Vinnacomin handed over the detailed construction planning dossier at a scale of 1/500 of the Quynh Lap 1 Thermal Power Plant project to the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone. The detailed construction planning dossier at a scale of 1/500 of the Quynh Lap 1 Thermal Power Plant project met the regulations of the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 6/2015/QD-UBND dated January 21, 2015 on promulgating regulations on the procedures for implementing investment projects using land in Nghe An province.

Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested relevant levels and sectors to coordinate with the investor to prepare well for the groundbreaking ceremony.

During the preparation for the groundbreaking ceremony, there were cases of households continuing to build houses, fences, level the ground, expand the area of ​​aquaculture ponds, etc. The current land use status of the project area is changing a lot, so the relevant levels and sectors of the province need to review, appraise and temporarily approve the boundary as a basis for authorities at all levels to organize the notification to local people about the project planning policy and boundary, and at the same time take measures to prevent people in the project area from constructing new or renovating and expanding construction works.

Regarding the plan to implement the site clearance work for the Quynh Lap 1 Thermal Power Plant project, the Electricity Corporation - Vinnacomin organized the preparation and submission to the Group for appraisal and approval of the investment project for site clearance work to build the Quynh Lap 1 Thermal Power Plant.

The groundbreaking ceremony is planned to be held at the site of the land in Tan Minh village, Quynh Lap commune and is expected to be held on October 1, 2015.
