Carefully prepare the ceremony to honor Nghe Tinh folk songs

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 13, 2015, in Vinh City, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to assign and review the contents related to the organization of the Ceremony to receive Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity. Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

Also attending were comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, comrade Nguyen Thien - Vice Chairman of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee, representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh and Nghe An and heads of sub-committees.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee - Deputy Head of the Steering Committee chaired the meeting.

The honoring ceremony will take place at 7:30 p.m. on January 31, 2015 at Ho Chi Minh Square. The program will be broadcast live on VTV1, VTV4, NTV, and HTV. In order for the ceremony to take place solemnly, leaving a deep impression on the people and international friends, in accordance with national traditions, the preparation work is considered extremely important.

At the meeting, the heads of the subcommittees reported specifically on the work done: Subcommittees were established to organize the UNESCO Certificate Reception Ceremony, and specific tasks were assigned to the subcommittees; 2 VCDs on Vi and Giam folk songs were completed; the content of the book of folk songs of Nghe An were prepared for reprinting. The central and local press agencies were coordinated to organize propaganda campaigns; conditions were prepared for the meeting and honoring ceremony for artisans and those who have contributed to the preservation and promotion of Vi and Giam folk songs of Nghe Tinh on the afternoon of January 31; a press conference was held in Hanoi at the end of December 2014 and Vinh City on January 20; the script for the art program "Returning to the Vi and Giam region" was approved to be performed at the ceremony... The general rehearsal of the entire program of the ceremony will take place on the evening of January 29 and 30.

At the meeting, delegates discussed a number of contents related to the ceremony program, especially from now until the honoring ceremony, it is necessary to promote propaganda work on central and local mass media, especially in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.

Concluding the working session, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the two provinces to urgently approve the script and program content of the ceremony in detail and specifically, review the tasks of each sub-committee, assign specific tasks to members who have been assigned to take urgent and timely action; and unify the propaganda content at the ceremony.
