Preparing to open Vinh - Vientiane flight route

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 30, the Provincial People's Committee held a working session with relevant sectors to discuss solutions for effectively exploiting the Vinh - Vientiane flight route. On January 12, 2014, the Vinh – Vientiane international flight route will be inaugurated. Currently, all relevant levels and sectors have basically completed all work for this important event.

Vietnam Airlines Corporation will put into operation the ATR-72 aircraft, with 68 seats, frequency of 4 flights/week. To attract passengers traveling by air, Vietnam Airlines offers attractive promotional prices on the occasion of opening new routes.

In recent years, along with the development trend, economic cooperation and exchange in the region, the demand for travel between the North Central region and the countries: Laos and Thailand is increasing. On average, each year there are about 160,000 to 180,000 passengers traveling by road. The opening of the Vinh - Vientiane International flight route will promote cooperation and exchange in various fields between the provinces in the region of the three countries Vietnam, Laos and Thailand. This is a favorable condition for tourism businesses in the provinces in the region to easily design air tours.

He also requested that departments and branches need to strengthen the propaganda work on flight routes such as: ticket prices, tours, and tourist routes. However, in the coming time, related departments need to strengthen communication and promotion work for the flight route in Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh and in Laos, Thailand...
