Well prepared for the 110th anniversary of the birth of comrade Phan Dang Luu

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, April 21, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province chaired a working session with the Organizing Committee of the 110th Anniversary of the Birth of Comrade Phan Dang Luu - a revolutionary predecessor of the Party. Attending the working session were members of the Organizing Committee and leaders of Yen Thanh district.

The 110th anniversary of the birth of comrade Phan Dang Luu was organized by the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee in Yen Thanh district on May 4, 2012. Towards the 110th anniversary of the birth of comrade Phan Dang Luu (May 5, 1902 - May 5, 2012), right after the Central Scientific Conference with the theme: "Comrade Phan Dang Luu - an outstanding revolutionary predecessor of the Party", the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee determined that this is one of the major events of the central government and the province, and at the same time has a plan to direct the departments and branches of the province and Yen Thanh district to focus on preparing for the celebration in a thoughtful and solemn manner.

As the hometown of comrade Phan Dang Luu, Yen Thanh district was assigned by the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee to coordinate the organization of the anniversary. At the meeting, the leaders of Yen Thanh district reported on the preparation work. Accordingly, the Standing Committee of Yen Thanh District Party Committee issued a Decision on the establishment of the Organizing Committee for the anniversary activities; the District People's Committee issued a Plan on propaganda and organization of anniversary activities; assigned specific tasks to members of the Organizing Committee; directed and urged departments, branches, agencies, units of the People's Committees of communes and towns to organize the anniversary activities. Currently, activities such as: organizing a contest to learn about the life and career of comrade Phan Dang Luu, cultural, artistic, sports activities, hanging banners and slogans... are being carried out urgently; logistics and security work for the anniversary are all being planned specifically...

At the meeting, members of the Organizing Committee reported on the work carried out according to the assignment of the Steering Committee, and at the same time made proposals and recommendations for the province to remove and resolve difficulties in the implementation process. In his concluding remarks at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong emphasized that the 110th anniversary of the birth of comrade Phan Dang Luu is a major event, included by the Central Propaganda Department and Nghe An Provincial Party Committee in the program of work to direct the commemoration of the Party's revolutionary predecessors in 2012. Therefore, the Organizing Committee must do its best to make the celebration a great success. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the preparation work of the members and Yen Thanh district, and at the same time requested the branches and members of the Organizing Committee to perform well the assigned tasks; in particular, the Electricity sector must ensure that the power supply is not interrupted; propaganda work must be well prepared; security and order for the celebration must be well ensured; The Finance sector ensures funding for departments, branches, and districts and transfers it directly to the units. He noted that the Organizing Committee needs to strengthen inspection and supervision, and the members of the Organizing Committee need to fulfill their responsibilities, contributing to the success of the celebration.
