A pharmacy practice certificate is issued only once.
From December 10, 2012, each individual will only be granted one Pharmacy Practice Certificate and will only be allowed to professionally manage one form of business organization at one pharmacy business location.
That is the provision of Decree 89/2012/ND-CP of the Government on amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 79/2006/ND-CP dated August 9, 2006 of the Government detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Pharmacy.

In addition, the Decree also stipulates that the Pharmacy Practice Certificate is issued once and is valid nationwide. According to the Decree, there are 4 cases of returning the Pharmacy Practice Certificate: The pharmacy business establishment changes its pharmacy professional manager; The pharmacy business establishment ceases its business activities; The establishment submits an application for a Certificate of Eligibility for Pharmacy Business but receives a written response of refusal from the agency receiving the application: An individual requests a re-issuance of the Pharmacy Practice Certificate (for issued Practice Certificates with a validity of 5 years).
