Final round of the Secondary School Students Competition on Traffic Safety
(Baonghean) -On the afternoon of September 25, in Vinh city, Nghe An Department of Education and Training organized the final round of the Traffic Safety Competition for Secondary School Students.
Participating in this round were 06 junior high school teams (including: Vinh city, Thai Hoa town, Dien Chau, Hung Nguyen, Do Luong and Quy Chau districts) who won first prize from the competitions of 06 district clusters in the whole province. This is a competition conducted by Nghe An Department of Education and Training right after the opening day of the new school year 2011-2012 until now. The competition aims to help junior high school students learn the necessary knowledge and skills to participate in traffic safely, handle traffic situations well and propagate to others to do the same.
The participating teams must perform 4 contents: presenting a short self-composed skit to introduce their unit and team members; answering a set of 20 questions on the Road Traffic Law using multiple choice method; acting out a self-composed skit about common traffic situations for secondary school students to propagate and mobilize students to comply with the Road Traffic Law; drawing pictures (with markers or felt-tip pens on A1 paper) to promote traffic safety.
At the end of the contest, Dien Chau Secondary School Team won the first prize, the second prize went to 02 secondary school teams: Hung Nguyen and Vinh City. The Organizing Committee also awarded the Hung Nguyen Secondary School Team the prize for the most impressive self-introduction skit; Dien Chau Secondary School Team the prize for the best traffic situation skit; and Quy Chau Secondary School Team the prize for the most outstanding traffic safety propaganda painting.
