Final of the 8th Nghe An Television Singing Festival - Sao Mai Award 2013
(Baonghean) - On the evening of June 26, at the Provincial Labor Culture House, the final night of the 8th Nghe An Television Singing Festival - Sao Mai Award 2013 took place. Attending were comrades: To Hong Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee along with a large audience and singers who had grown up from the Sao Mai Awards in previous years: Bui Le Man, Phuong Thanh, Vu Thang Loi.

This year, there are 36 contestants competing in 3 music genres: folk, classical chamber music and pop music. After 2 preliminary and final rounds, the jury has selected 9 best contestants to enter the final night. This year's Sao Mai Awards gathered many singers with good voices, high vocal techniques and were trained in cultural and artistic schools in and outside the province. In addition to showing off their singing talents on stage, the contestants also experienced sideline activities: taking artistic photos, filming clips, visiting and giving gifts to families with preferential policies...
At the final night, each contestant performed 2 songs of their own choosing with a confident and attractive performance style, conquering the judges as well as the audience watching live and on NTV television. The results: Tran Thi Huyen Trang won First Prize in the folk music category and the Most Voted Contestant Award; Dinh Thi Trang and Tran Thi Trang won First Prize in the classical chamber music category; there was no First Prize in the light music category.
